About Paula

Paula is an environmental writer and educator. She is a history-loving, water-conserving former garden designer who has a fascination for her family roots in California. From designing rainwater harvesting systems, teaching pre-school, lecturing university students and serving as Director of Environmental Programs at an Elementary School, she strives to find humor and excitement in science, history and nature. Currently she is focused on writing non-fiction for children and promoting an appreciation for water.
